Statement

Doug Trump’s paintings allow him to explore the mystery and grandeur of existence. Through painting, Trump feels a direct connection to the world via place, perception and emotion. He states, “As a painter, seeing at the close of day that which was not there before is fascinating and brings deep satisfaction. Hopefully, there is a final concrete object; some apparent voice of gratitude.”
