Atlanta's unassuming art star shows his true colors.

Artist Scott Ingram is not who you'd expect him to be. In his home workshop and a pair of subdued studio spaces at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center (his wife, Saskia Benjamin, is the organization's director), he fashions furniture, architectural works, decorative arts studies and, of course, the "nail polish drawings" that have made him famous-and not just in Atlanta. His collectors span the globe and include people of all persuasions, from decorators to hoteliers to serious art enthusiasts. We can't wait to see what he shows at his new home-the Westside's hip Emily Amy Gallery-next.

Scott Ingram's inaugural solo show at Emily Amy Gallery will be on view Dec. 9-Jan. 28, opening with a high-energy reception on Dec. 9. Each client who purchases a Scott Ingram-ranging in price from $1,200 for small works on paper to $20,000 for museum-scale pieces on panel-that evening will automatically earn a mani/pedi from Spa Sentio, a Westside salon that features a prominent polish installation by Ingram. Inquire about the offer with gallery owner Emily Amy. 1000 Marietta St. NW, 404.877.5626, emilyamygallery.com.
